Summary of position:

As an Aerospace Welder you are responsible for the fabrication and TIG welding of aerospace tubular, sheet metal and casting engine components by referencing blueprints. First you will determine the dimensions of welds, then follow up by inspecting the materials to ensure they are ready to be welded.

Essential Functions:

  • Seated at a station TIG welding parts inside of an argon-backed purge box.
  • Parts are small (weighing ounces, not pounds) and are composed of Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel.
  • Use up to 10 customer blueprints per day, contingent upon the quantity of parts dictated by each print.  Prints are in standard measurement units and include various weld symbols. 
  • Refer to a Welding Procedure Specification binder and complete paperwork for parts.
  • After welding, grind the parts to an impeccable, automotive finish.
  • New welders will check tolerances on each part, and then operational quality will be inspected by someone from the QC team.  Welders will ultimately go through the Operational Acceptance Testing program and become certified to perform their own operational quality inspection.
  • Due to the critical nature of the welds, all parts will undergo a series of quality inspections.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • D17.1 Certification

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of TIG welding experience
  • Must be able to pass welding test, details will be provided prior to interviewing.
  • Blueprint reading and welding symbols.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small parts.
  • Attention to miniscule detail.
  • Reading comprehension to follow written work orders and complete documentation.

As an Experienced Shipping and Receiver, you will need to be very detailed oriented and will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. The role involves preparing items for shipment, ensuring accuracy in shipping documentation, and maintaining inventory of shipping materials.

Essential Functions:

  • Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information and measuring items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Determine the appropriate shipping method based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Affix shipping labels or stencil identifying information on cartons using stenciling equipment.
  • Assemble or select wooden or cardboard containers for packing.
  • Insert items into containers with appropriate spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
  • Secure wooden crates with nails and bind containers using metal tape with a strapping machine.
  • Stamp, stencil, or glue shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Post weights, shipping charges, and affix postage as necessary.
  • Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and communicate with shippers to resolve issues.
  • Route items to appropriate departments and ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Operate a forklift or hand truck to move shipments from the shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work areas.
  • May supervise or direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.

Education:

You will prepare, set up, and adjust the press brake as required by product plans and production schedules. Ensure that there are sufficient raw materials available. Essential Functions:

  • Setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC brake press machines
  • Reading blueprints and editing programs
  • Heavily relying on geometry and other math
  • Using knowledge of bend tolerances

Essential Functions:

  • Create offline CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Polyworks software from 3D CAD.
  • Keep the Quality team updated on CMM programming technology, working with companies like Hexagon, Polyworks, Leica, etc. to apply the latest software and technology for optimal productivity.
  • Develop CMM Programs that are user-friendly and ensure dimensional integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and correct CMM errors, including both programming and systemic issues.
  • Experience using CAD-based software such as Siemens NX is beneficial.
  • Interpret detailed drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles and ISO/ASME standards.
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and final dimensional and visual inspections on precision machined parts using various inspection tools.
  • Document inspection results per company procedures and customer requirements, and issue non-conformances as needed.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering, Programming, and other departments in quality planning and process development.

Education:
