HYUR Manufacturing is seeking CMM Programmers for our partner in Cincinnati, OH!

The anticipated wage for this position starts at $28- $38/hour. Hourly wages may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Summary of position:

As a CMM Programmer, you are responsible for planning, offline programming, and performing CMM inspections of complex precision machined components to ensure all products conform to customer specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Create offline CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Polyworks software from 3D CAD.
  • Keep the Quality team updated on CMM programming technology, working with companies like Hexagon, Polyworks, Leica, etc. to apply the latest software and technology for optimal productivity.
  • Develop CMM Programs that are user-friendly and ensure dimensional integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and correct CMM errors, including both programming and systemic issues.
  • Experience using CAD-based software such as Siemens NX is beneficial.
  • Interpret detailed drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles and ISO/ASME standards.
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and final dimensional and visual inspections on precision machined parts using various inspection tools.
  • Document inspection results per company procedures and customer requirements, and issue non-conformances as needed.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering, Programming, and other departments in quality planning and process development.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Keen attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in CMM programming and operation using PC-DMIS/Polyworks; experience in offline programming is a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of GD&T principles and their practical application in manufacturing.
  • Capable of developing thorough inspection plans based on customer drawings and specifications.
  • Skilled in utilizing a variety of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating across departments to efficiently resolve issues in an open environment.
