HYUR Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Programmer for our partner in Sharonville, OH! This position is a 90-working day contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
The anticipated wage for this position starts at $25.00 – $28.00. Hourly wages may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Summary of position:
As a CNC Programmer, you are responsible for machining and tooling, with a strong background in programming and working with various machine centers. You will collaborate closely with the Engineering team to develop and implement machining solutions, ensuring high-quality production and efficient processes.
Essential Functions:
- Develop programs and create fixturing for Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport-type mills, and other manual machine centers (e.g., drill press, band saw).
- Work with Engineering to design and build effective fixtures.
- Coach and instruct machine operators on proper set-up and operational procedures for new parts.
- Create comprehensive machine set-up sheets, including tool lengths and work offsets.
- Machine parts according to prints, adjust tool offsets, and perform self-checks to ensure precision and quality.
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Technical School certificate or degree preferred.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of machine shop experience
- Programming or experience with “C” axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes.
- Proficiency with Haas controls and G & M codes.
- Experience with GibbsCam programming software and familiarity with AutoDesk Vault drafting software.
- Knowledge of Mill’s “A” axis is a plus.
