Job Description: Support Providers (MD/NP, PA) in clinic facilitating daily office scheduled including rooming process (vitals signs and documentation of care in EMR, complete back office duties such as in-basket and provider pool maintenance, schedule procedures, re-schedule office visits (bump lists) for cancellations. Log in to departmental communication tools: voalte and WebEx

  • Willingness to travel between 1-2 sites as needed on rare occasions (mileage between sites is paid)
  • Orientation will include front desk (1 week) and call center (5-6 weeks) ?
  • Pivot between MA role of working with provider to scheduling by phone and working in work queue which may include traveling between sites same day or same week.
  • Answer phones, call patients from prior clinic days to schedule procedures or follow up visits and manage own Epic in-basket as team members send staff messages as well as MyChart Messages are sent by patients to providers. 
  • Support more than one provider per week and manage in-basket pools/scheduling needs
  • Attach to pools per assignment weekly to ensure results have been provided to patient, Prior Authorizations have been completed and procedures have been scheduled
  • Access weekly team schedule on departmental shared drive daily to weekly to review assignments

Qualifications

  • Must: LPN or RN or MA Diploma, energetic, eager to learn, Covid Vaccine
  • Plus: Urgent Care, EPIC experience
  • Disqualifiers: Job jumping
  • Physical Requirements: Walking and on feet majority of the day.
